I'll admit it: every now and then, I get really excited about dressing to match my kids, and I know you do too :) So here's a roundup of Lulu Ferris tutorials that include patterns for women and kids, or teach you how to make the garment using measurements.

I'll admit it: every now and then, I get really excited about dressing to match my kids, and I know you do too :)

So here's a roundup of the Lulu Ferris tutorials that include patterns for women and kids, or teach you how to make the garment using measurements. Let's get to them!

The classic leggings.

A classic among classics, they're comfortable for both mom and kid, boy or girl. Pair them with a T-shirt or dress and you've got the whole look.

The women's pattern is available in sizes S through XL, and the kids' pattern is available from 0m to 5/6 years.

Sweatshirt

Let's continue with another unisex clothing tutorial, this time for the cooler months: a simple raglan-sleeve sweatshirt. You can customize it by sewing on a kangaroo pocket, or do what one subscriber did and sew on appliqués that read COOL MUM and COOL KID… they turned out great.

The women's pattern is available in sizes S through XL, and the kids' pattern is available from 0m to 5/6 years.

Dresses:

Dresses—we like them, you like them, they like them…

With a dropped waist and long sleeves

This long-sleeved dress, which you can pair with leggings in the colder months, has a dropped waist and a gathered skirt that you can sew from the same fabric or a coordinating one. Add tulle over it to give it a princess feel.

The girl's pattern is available from 2 to 8 years, and the women's pattern from S to XXL.

A-line, with short or long sleeves

This dress is a staple in my wardrobe. I wear it all the time. It's loose and full, so it doesn't cling to my body and I feel very comfortable. You can pair it with a vest, a jacket… it depends on the season. flowy-dress-lulu-ferris-girl-woman

This pattern can be made with short or long sleeves. The women's pattern comes in sizes S, M, L, and XL, and the girl's pattern ranges from 0/3 months to 5/6 years.

Harem

This is the kind of wide, drop-crotch pants you really like for kids because they look so fun on them, they're very comfortable, and you love them. Once you see how easy they are to sew, you'll make several pairs.

The knit waistband with elastic adapts very well. In the children's pattern, the lower hem finish is different: they have a cuff, while the women's pattern has elastic.

The children's patterns range from size 0 to 6 years, while the women's pattern is one size.

Button-and-pocket skirt

This little skirt is beautiful, with an elastic waistband and button details down the front. In the tutorial, we teach you how to sew it based on measurements, so you decide how long you want it: above the knees or all the way to the floor.

In the tutorial, you'll find a PDF that's perfect for writing down the necessary measurements and making it easier to calculate everything.

Have you made any of them yet? Did this post make you want to try one? Which one do you like best?

If you make one, I'd love to see a photo. You can send it to info@luluferris.com, or if you post it on social media, tag us @luluferris or use #cosiendoconlulu
