Gifts for cooks of all sizes
Chef hat
A must-have! Few things give you more superpowers in the kitchen than an authentic chef hat. This one in particular is very easy to make, and we added a little Velcro to the band so you can adjust it.
In the chef hat tutorial, we make a child-sized model, so if you want it for an adult, you’ll need to make it a little larger. A beautiful way to personalize it would be to add the name or initials of its rightful owner, either embroidered or with an appliqué.
And while you’re making appliqués, you can decorate the front of the band with something fun: a fried egg, a piece of fruit, a vegetable… Something that gives it a colorful, informal touch.

Personalized apron: full-length or waist-only
The chef hat is crying out for something to complete it. To make the complete uniform, a personalized apron would be ideal, wouldn’t you say?
Well, we have that too! And in two different designs: full-length and waist-only. They’re both beautiful, although it’s obvious that the full-length one offers more protection from stains and flying food.
You can also find the full-length apron tutorial in Lulu Ferris with its pattern included. It’s actually a Christmas design, but instead of the reindeer appliqué, you can add whatever decoration you like best. It’s also still a wonderful idea to personalize it with the name or initials of the person who will receive it.

Oven mitt
This oven mitt has just come out of the oven! And we mean that literally. It’s our latest tutorial for the YouTube channel, and it turned out beautifully.
To properly protect our hands and those of our loved ones, we added a layer of insulating fabric that you can buy online in our shop. Other than that, you’ll only need fabric and bias tape. If you make it to match the hat and apron, it would make an amazing gift.
