With all the tutorials available through Lulu Ferris and our YouTube channel, you only need a little imagination to turn them into lots of costumes.
Here are a few ideas—some quicker and easier than others. Let your imagination run wild.
IDEA 1: THE THREE TWINS
These little adventurers always dress alike, but in their three different-colored T-shirts: blue, green, and pink.
If you have two girls, you can dress up with them.
In the Club, you can find a tutorial for a women’s overall and also one for kids’ overalls, with either a tie or snap closure. It won’t only work as a costume—you’ll be able to wear it every day afterward.
If you prefer, you can make the pinafore version, for which you’ll also find tutorials for both women and kids.
And since it’s cold here (at least on the peninsula), instead of wearing a T-shirt underneath, you can wear a sweatshirt to stay warmer, made in the twins’ colors.
To finish the look, all you’ll need is the matching hair bow, and we have the perfect tutorial on our YouTube channel. You can adjust the measurements to fit the girls’ head sizes.
And voilà—you have a Three Twins costume!
IDEA 2: MINIONS
A classic from recent years featuring those wonderfully fun characters, the Minions! Kids and adults can dress up as them…. papoya
Like the Three Twins costume, this one will also be based on overalls made from blue fabric; you can add the front pocket to the overalls, along with a yellow sweatshirt.
Instead of the bow, you can make the yellow knitted hat and add black decorations and goggles, as shown here
IDEA 3: WHERE’S WALLY?
A recognizable costume that everyone will be looking for.
To make this costume, you’ll need the distinctive white-and-red striped fabric that makes Wally so unique and recognizable. You can make a sweatshirt or T-shirt; there are tutorials for kids, men, and women.
All you need to do is complete it with a pair of glasses, a hat made from the same matching fabric, and a pair of jeans.
IDEA 4: THIEVES
Based on the same features as the Where’s Wally costume, but this time you’ll need white-and-black striped fabric. For the top, you can make a sweatshirt or T-shirt; there are tutorials for kids, men, and women.
We’ll make the hat in black. Then, to cover our eyes, you can make yourself a mask. You’ll see—it’s quick and easy. And then there’s one essential accessory: a bag to carry the money. You can sew on an appliqué with the dollar sign, or make one from a bit of cardstock and secure it with a few stitches or double-sided tape so you can reuse it later.
You can make two types of bags: a tote bag to carry over your shoulder, or a backpack. Oh, and you absolutely can’t forget a pair of black gloves.
