Hi!

We’re bringing you a tutorial for making a pencil case in 5 minutes—and back-to-school is tomorrow!

So if you’ve just realized that last year’s pencil case is broken, or you simply want a new, cute, easy-to-make pencil case, here it is!

Best of all, you can use any quilted fabric scraps you already have, since you’ll need a fabric with some body, and fabrics that are quilted on both sides are ideal for this pencil case.

As for the zipper, it should be one that you can open and remove the slider from, plus a ribbon if you want to add one and bias tape to finish the inside.

If you prefer other types of pencil cases, with more pockets or more elaborate designs, you’ll find many other styles in the Lulu Ferris sewing academy; I’m sure one of them will suit your needs.

Here’s the pattern in PDF format. Print it at 100% scale for the actual size, or at a smaller or larger scale for a smaller or larger pencil case ;)

Now let’s get started with the Naples pencil case sewing tutorial—we hope you like it!
