We’re bringing you a new sewing project: the Macarella sarong. It’s dress-like, crosses in the back, has neck ties, ties in the front so you can adjust it at the hip or waist, and is made from stretchy fabric, making it a comfortable option for enjoying the beach or pool.
This type of sarong is made from stretchy fabric. You can make it to match your swimsuit, as it easily adapts and stretches to provide a close, flattering fit.
For the tutorial, we used the mandala-print Lycra from Cal Joan , which we also used to make the Addison swimsuit. You can find it in the Lulu Ferris sewing academy, along with other swimsuits and bikinis.
The sarong is characterized by its crossed-back design and front knot, creating an elegant and attractive look. The straps, which tie around the neck, provide support and allow you to adjust the tension according to your personal preferences.
The Macarella sarong has a V-neckline in the front, enhancing the figure and subtly revealing the décolletage.
Here’s the pattern. It comes in sizes 34 to 56, with two options: A4 for printing at home and A0 for printing at a copy shop.
