We love making clothes for little ones and original things for ourselves, so we always keep a good selection of fun fabrics in stock. We also like solids, geometric and floral prints, polka dots, and heathered fabrics. But when we want to make something that stands out and turns every head, we turn to these secret weapons.
Let's take a look!
Fun fabrics for your most original creations
1. Mapaches noir/blanc
One of our favorites, without a doubt. We fell in love with it right away because it's original and fun, but elegant at the same time and perfect for pairing with any color.
It's also wonderfully versatile: it's great for kids' clothing, but also for making cool accessories for ourselves. For example, if we made ourselves a fabric backpack in this print, we would never leave the house without it.

2. Handmade notions
This one is more for us than for the little ones, and it's a way to make sure everyone knows what we love.
If you use it to make a garment, it will look very original. And if you love the fabric but can't see yourself wearing it, imagine it as covers, toiletry bags, baskets, tote bags, pencil cases, accessories…
We also think it's fabulous for making appliqués and personalizing your clothes. What would you use it for? You can get a better look by clicking this link: Handmade notions.
3. Warning blue
We think Warning blue by Blend Fabrics is ideal for kids. It's a festival of color, action, and movement that will really grab their attention.
It's the one we used for the outside of the notebook with chalkboard fabric shown in the photo at the beginning of the post. Pair it with one of the colors in the print—green, red, or yellow—and you'll see how it shines.
