What you’ll make
Sew a shaped fabric cover for Thermomix TM5, TM6, and TM7 appliances. The featured version is lined and padded with batting for structure.
One side features appliqué, while the other has a patch pocket for accessories. The class also shows a lighter single-layer version without batting or lining.

- Layer and quilt the outer fabric and batting.
- Prepare and sew a fusible appliqué motif.
- Interface and bind the side pocket.
- Add optional pocket divisions.
- Ease the long panel around the curved sides.
- Assemble and turn the outer cover and lining.
- Choose a turned or bias-bound lower edge.
Fabric and materials
The featured cover uses gingham-style woven fabric outside, muslin for the lining, and batting for structure. Interfacing reinforces the pocket.
Canvas or poplin can also be used. A walking or roller foot may help feed quilted layers where seams become bulky.
For the appliqué, use double-sided fusible web. The class recommends stitching around the fused shapes, especially if the cover will be washed.
Make it your own
Quilt straight lines, a grid, diagonals, or free-motion designs. You can also skip the batting and quilting for a softer single-layer cover.
Use the included appliqué shapes or substitute your own. Keep the pocket full width or add dividing seams to suit your accessories.
Adjust the pattern for a smaller appliance by reducing the pieces or taking deeper seams after checking the fit.

Finished measurements
The finished cover measures 32 cm wide, 35 cm high, and 33 cm deep. The pattern is compatible with Thermomix TM5, TM6, and TM7 models.
