As I mentioned the other day, I went to Barcelona on Friday morning and took the opportunity to stroll around El Born. I had a wonderful time finding and discovering new shops. It had been such a long time since I’d been there that I looked like a tourist, gazing around in wonder and taking photos (fewer than I would have liked).
Although I wanted to buy everything I saw, that wasn’t possible. But I did give in and ended up buying my little one some red espadrilles with a hand-painted boat on them… I can’t wait to put them on her!
I stopped by a tiny shop with some incredibly cute stuffed animals. I didn’t take any photos; it’s called Andapanda, and its sign caught my eye as I walked along Argenteria Street because it’s on a nearby street, at Grunyí 6. You can see and buy its products here.
Then I came across the shop—I’d say it didn’t have a name—where they make espadrilles in every color and size. La Bicha Creativa also sells some of her products there: bags, brooches… Her blog is here. The espadrille shop doesn’t have a website, so you’ll have to visit it at Brosolí Street, no. 6.
One shop that caught my attention—and I didn’t take a photo there either; I told you, I was completely spellbound, looking around like a tourist—was a shop with some incredibly cool analog cameras! It seemed like a great gift or self-gift. I’m sure one of those cameras would be a hit, and although I didn’t take any photos, I did pick up a card :) You can check out its website here.
One place I was eager to see in person was Florentine Cupcakes. The problem was that I’d had breakfast not long before and wasn’t hungry at all :( so I only admired the outside of the shop. I’m warning you now: I’m going back. Here is its website, so you can drool a little ;)
I sew, but I don’t know how to crochet or knit… so when I saw the name of this shop, I couldn’t help but go inside… all you knit is love!!! Hahaha, I love it! The name is so clever!!! If it weren’t so far away, I’d sign up for one of their classes….
And to finish my stroll, I met up with my sister and we went to eat at Ikibana, which is, as they say, a fusion of Japanese and Brazilian food… Everything was delicious. We had the set menu, 12€, and ended up very full! So, bravo!
The whole morning went wonderfully until the afternoon disaster, which was the reason I’d gone to Barcelona in the first place. But that’s another story!
