Hey, wait a minute… Isn’t this a sewing blog? What are we doing talking about natural cosmetics? What’s this workshop for, where you can learn to make moisturizing cream and exfoliant (the kind that smells so good you could eat it)?
Last week, we published a post to help you take care of your back. There we talked about the problems that poor posture can cause when sewing and gave you some advice for correcting it. We also told you how important it is to take care of your body in general. It’s the place where you’ll spend the rest of your life, the thing that lets you go from one place to another, play with your children, give kisses and hugs…
And do you know what the largest organ in the human body is? Exactly! The skin.
Lulú Ferris isn’t just any shop, as you know. It’s built around our values and the idea of what we would like the world to be. In that way, we have a lot in common with the women at Atelier Bio, the wonderful, knowledgeable experts who will teach this workshop for you. Would you like to come?

Where and when?
At our shop in Mataró. On Saturday, March 3, from 10:00 to 13:00.
Do you also have the afternoon free and don’t feel like leaving us because you’re having such a wonderful time? Perfect, because after lunch, from 15:00 to 17:00, we’re teaching another mini-workshop to make a toiletry bag for storing the wonderful creams you’ve just made.
What’s included?
We’ve prepared it so you can come empty-handed and leave with a whole handful of treasures. The workshop price includes:
- The materials, tools, and recipe for making the creams, so you’ll be able to make them on your own once you’ve learned.
- A handout with everything you’ve learned in the workshop, so you won’t forget anything.
- 100% natural, organic, and vegan ingredients: absolute beauty, inside and out.
- And, of course, the body cream and exfoliant that you made yourself.

What will you learn?
In addition to learning how to make the cream and exfoliant, you’ll learn to understand your skin and what makes it unique. You’ll learn about the care and nutrients it needs. You’ll have the opportunity to personalize the cosmetics you make by choosing the ingredients and fragrances that are perfect for you. And you’ll learn how to emulsify them to create the creams.
How much does it cost?
The three-hour natural cosmetics workshop, where you’ll learn to make moisturizing cream and exfoliant, with the materials, ingredients, recipes, handout, and the mountain of knowledge and experience from Atelier Bio, costs €57.
If you also want to stay and make the toiletry bag with us in the afternoon, add another €15, which includes the materials (fabric, trim, zipper, etc.) and the sewing machine (although you won’t be able to take the machine home).
The total is €75, a price we often pay for a single jar of cream full of fragrances and synthetic ingredients and mineral oils that has also been tested on animals.
