To make these pom-poms, you'll need scissors, cardboard, two round objects—one large and one small—to use as templates, and the main material: yarn, cotton, or t-shirt yarn.

Using the round objects—in our case, a cup and a bottle cap—draw the circles on the cardboard, one large and the small one centered inside it. Do this twice, cut them out, and make a cut in the ring so it is open.

Once we've done this, we can start winding the yarn, cotton, or t-shirt yarn around the two cardboard rings together, passing it through the cut we made. The more times you wrap it, the fuller the pom-pom will be.

Once everything is wrapped, take the scissors and carefully cut the yarn. When you're finished, tie a knot through the middle of the two pieces of cardboard so it sits in the center of the cut yarn.

Now you can remove the pom-pom from the cardboard and fluff it up! With the scissors, you can finish shaping it…et voilà!
