September is just around the corner, and with it come preschool, back-to-school season, and a new season to fill with bright colors and fresh designs. You can make all the explosion of joy and curiosity your little one carries inside shine on the outside, too. How? By thoughtfully choosing the fabrics for kids’ clothing that you use in your creations. Clothing is just clothing, that’s true, but it’s wonderful when we turn it into a work of art capable of expressing the person who wears it.

That’s why we love colors, shapes, prints, and beautiful combinations so much. Because we truly believe that they’re a form of expression. And in our hands, with the sewing machine ready and our imaginations running at a thousand revolutions, anything is possible.

Here are the three combinations of fabrics for kids’ clothing that we’ve liked most this summer. The fabrics are still available online, but we don’t know for how much longer!

Our favorite fabric combinations for kids’ clothing

1. Dream Catchers Teepee Butterflies + Topos Large Coral

If you love this beautiful combination too, you’ll have to be very quick because they’re almost sold out. We only have one piece of Teepee Butterflies and three pieces of Topos Coral left.

For the beautiful preschool set you see in the photo, we also added turquoise bias tape, which combines perfectly with the Butterflies while creating a wonderful contrast with the coral tone.

If you like these soft, wonderfully pleasant tones, you can also try Bamboo Shoots Light.

2. Black Toucan + Canalé Negro

Elvelyckan Design’s prints are amazing. Different, fun, fresh, and full of life. Ever since we discovered this brand, we’ve always tried to keep it among our fabric offerings because it fits our tastes and our spirit perfectly.

In the design shown in the photo, the Black Toucan knit fabric shines even more against the Canalé Negro. In the same vein, with that same bold and visually striking touch, you can also choose the sharks instead of the toucans.

3. Yinghua Cherrylight + Solido Mint

We had already shown you this delicious mix in the post about combining mint-colored fabrics, but we think it’s essential to remind you that it’s one of the prettiest combinations of the summer. Cherrylight’s oriental touch is so delicate that we never get tired of looking at it, and it’s ideal for any age.

Solido Mint, on the other hand, is a wildcard. It looks just as good with sweet, soft tones as it does with dark tones, which can create a more pronounced contrast. Of course, you’ll find both in our shop (with a special discount if you’re a Lulu Ferris member).

Find Yinghua Cherrylight here and Solido Mint.

Which one is your favorite? Can you find another perfect combination of fabrics for kids’ clothing among all the ones in the shop? If so, let us in on the secret!

And enjoy creating to the fullest.
