Have you ever thought about turning what you love to do—what you currently call a hobby—into your way of life? It’s no coincidence that Lulú Ferris started that way, turning Laura’s passion for making clothes for little ones into the store you know today, the very website where you’re reading this post right now. She had Joan’s support, and now you do too. Today we’re introducing a little book that could help revolutionize your professional life: the Entrepreneur’s Guide.
But perhaps we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Let’s explain everything a little better.
What is the Entrepreneur’s Guide?Times are changing, and work models are changing and evolving as quickly as technology. You already know that, I’m sure. Many of us were born in an era when the path to financial stability was clear: study and get a permanent contract. And if that wasn’t for you, well… what could you do?
Our parents’ lives had been radically different, and our children’s lives will be too. So suddenly we became a hybrid species: the internet revolution caught us in the middle of developing the model we had learned. And suddenly, we started wondering why we had to settle.
The possibility of creating our own business, aligned with our desires and interests, stopped being a utopia. We no longer had to invest huge amounts of money to rent a storefront or belong to a large company to reach customers who wanted to buy exactly what we knew how to make.
But it’s a huge, unfamiliar world, isn’t it? You wouldn’t know where to begin, what to do, how to approach it, who to target—there are just too many things! A monumental task to take on alone, something like building the Pyramid of Cheops by yourself.
That’s what the Entrepreneur’s Guide is: a tool that will guide you through creating a business from scratch, starting with generating ideas and ending with the launch phase. It brings together the same knowledge that made Lulú Ferris possible, along with a whole collection of practical exercises to apply that knowledge to your own idea.
But what does the Entrepreneur’s Guide have to do with this? And who is this Joan?Joan Boluda is known in the internet world as an excellent online marketing consultant and director of the course academy at boluda.com, but we know him in a slightly more personal way. He’s part of the Lulú Ferris family and, above all, part of Laura’s life: husband, love, friend, life partner, and father of the three little ones who have stolen our hearts so many times while posing in their mom’s designs.
A passionate advocate and champion of entrepreneurship to his very core, the Entrepreneur’s Guide is his new project. To make it a reality, he launched a crowdfunding campaign yesterday, and in just 40 minutes it had already reached 100% of its financial goal. It has now tripled the minimum funding needed to produce it. But the exciting part is that the campaign is still open, and you can get one too for yourself or for someone you care about who needs that extra push in life.
This is a nonprofit campaign where everything raised will go toward making and improving the guide. The idea here is for you—and only you—to benefit. Because we believe in this change, and because we’re sure that having more people who are happy in their work, developing their passion and talent to put them at the service of others, will make the world a little better.
