These days I’m getting ready for the Arenys de Mar Fair and not just preparing materials, but also thinking about how I’m going to set up my little booth!!
I really have no idea…. The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted a “board” with the product prices, in addition to those already shown on the tags.
This is one of the things that annoys me most when I go to fairs or shopping: why don’t they put the prices up?? I’m someone who has a hard time asking and then feels awkward saying no afterward… I don’t understand it. If I like something, I’m interested, and I see that the price is within my budget, I buy it. But if the price isn’t displayed, I might think it’s too expensive, or not feel like waiting in line to ask, or whatever, and then I don’t buy it! But anyway, everyone knows their own strategy… I’ll be displaying mine.
Anyway, since I’ve been cutting lots of fabric these days and had little scraps everywhere, I thought I’d make a DIY (do it yourself) price “board” using just the fabrics, white glue, and an old picture frame that had been forgotten in a drawer. I love the result—although it can always be improved, of course. If you’re thinking of making one and the frame isn’t white, as in my case, it’s better to give it a coat of white first so the fabrics will stand out much more.
