I have a beautiful memory: my mother sitting on the living-room sofa with her knitting needles tucked under her arms. I watched her, almost hypnotized… she did it so fast! It almost seemed like magic. Every now and then the spell was broken when she dropped a stitch and let out a swear word. It’s a happy memory. I don’t know whether she ever took crochet or knitting classes, whether she learned at school, or whether my grandmother taught her.
I insisted so much, even though I was so little, that in the end she gave me a ball of yarn, a thick needle, and taught me how to make a chain stitch. The number of times I made and unraveled that ball of yarn! It relaxed me, took me to another state of consciousness, and I could spend hours like that: turning all the yarn into chain stitches, only to unravel it when I ran out and start again.
There was something about it that made me feel so good… If you’ve already knitted or crocheted, you know what I’m talking about, and if you haven’t, you should try it!
Crochet and knitting classes in Mataró
Now that the cold has arrived, it’s the perfect time to start or return to those crochet or knitting classes you’ve been wanting to take. If you didn’t have plans for Wednesday mornings, you can now turn them into something very special. They can be your weekly zen moment.
What would you like to make? Hats, scarves, sweaters, bags, bracelets, slippers, amigurumi, teething toys… It doesn’t matter what your level is, because you can start from scratch or improve your skills: our classes are completely personalized.
That’s why we only accept a maximum of six students. The minimum is one, so you won’t have to wait for a class to fill up before coming whenever you like.
When:
Every Wednesday morning that isn’t a holiday, from 10:00 to 12:00.

At Carrer Bonaire, 6B, where our beautiful Mataró shop is located. A warm, pleasant, welcoming place full of peace.
How much:
You can attend individual two-hour classes for 15€ or get them at an even better price by choosing a pack of three or four sessions (more info here).
