Christmas is just around the corner, and if you don’t have an Advent calendar, we’re suggesting this pretty, easy one that you can make with the kids.
What will you need? Toilet paper or paper towel rolls, Christmas fabric, cardstock in two colors, string, red ric-rac trim, small clothespins, white glue, and an awl.
To begin, we’ll cut the fabric about 5 centimeters longer than the roll and glue it with white glue starting at the edge of the roll. A little fabric will be left over, which we’ll tie with the red ric-rac trim once it’s dry, and we’ll do this with all 24 rolls.
Once we have them all ready, we’ll use an awl to make a hole in the back of each roll, thread a piece of string through it, and tie a bow that will allow us to hang it.
With one sheet of cardstock, we’ll cut rectangles, and with the other, we’ll cut the numbers, which we’ll glue to the rectangles with white glue. We’ll attach these labels to the rolls with the small clothespins.
Once everything is ready, we can hang them wherever we want! We can attach a string and hang them with the small clothespins as shown in the photo. And don’t forget the little gifts ;)
You can find this beautiful Christmas fabric and the ric-rac trim at our store at c/Bonaire 6b in Mataró.
We hope you like it and enjoy making it, and don’t forget that you can send us your results at info@luluferris.com and we’ll post them on our blog :)
