Who am I?

I’m a little bit crazy, although I’ve mellowed over the years, and quite a dreamer. My life changed more than 12 years ago with the arrival of an earthquake named Jan. Pol came along some time later, and the latest addition to the family, eight years ago, was Sam. The person “responsible” for Lulú Ferris existing is my eldest, Jan, who inspired me to finally take the plunge and do what I love most. My children inspire me to keep creating, including many of the accessories we make.

What began as a hobby gradually became my profession and a way of life. I decided to create the Lulú Ferris Club to share my knowledge and help others discover the magic of making things with their own hands.

I love handmade things, made with love. If you’re here, you probably do too—and I’m sure you’re like me and follow a thousand accounts on social media. 

Fabrics are another of my passions… a beautiful fabric brightens your day, doesn’t it? :)

Every Friday, I upload a new tutorial to teach you a range of sewing techniques, from the basics to more advanced skills. My aim is to help you feel inspired and confident enough to create your own unique pieces, whether that’s clothing, accessories or any other project you can imagine.

At Lulú Ferris, you’ll find a welcoming community where we all share a love of sewing and DIY. I work hard to offer high-quality content that is easy to follow and, above all, fun. I want you to enjoy the learning process as much as I enjoy teaching.
