What you’ll make
Tromsø is a cozy zip-front jacket with a double high collar, two side pockets, and an adjustable hem. The sample is sewn in plush sherpa fleece for a warm layer with generous neck coverage.
Fold-over elastic finishes the pocket openings, cuffs, and front edges. An elastic drawcord and cord locks let you wear the hem straight or gather it for a softly bloused silhouette.

Fabric and trim choices
The class uses sherpa fleece, while polar fleece is another suitable choice. A walking foot is recommended for bulky or fuzzy layers, and a roller foot may also help. The sample is sewn with a size 90 stretch needle.
Use fold-over elastic or stretch knit binding. If the main fabric makes the pockets too bulky, substitute a thinner fabric such as jersey for the less visible pocket layer.
Make it your own
Choose matching trim for a subtle finish or use a contrasting color. The cuffs can be bound as shown or finished with a turned hem and elastic, allowing for the change in sleeve length.
Optional fusible stay tape can stabilize very stretchy fabric near the zipper and pockets. Leave the hem drawcord relaxed for a straight line or tighten it for a gathered shape.
Pattern sizing
The pattern covers sizes 34/36 through 54/56. Its chart spans 86–132 cm at the chest, 64–110 cm at the waist, and 90–136 cm at the hips.
Finished jacket length is 63 cm for sizes 34/36–42/44 and 68 cm for sizes 46/48–54/56. The pattern is supplied in A4 and A0 formats.
