What you’ll make
The Tamariu is a rectangular clutch with a distinctive hand opening in the flap and a coordinating handle attached to the front.
Carry it by hand or attach a chain or fabric strap to the side rings. The removable strap lets the same bag work as a clutch or shoulder bag.
The lined interior includes a slip pocket for smaller essentials. Concealed magnetic closures hold the flap against the front without interrupting the clean exterior.

Fabric and structure
The sample uses fluorescent pink 3D fabric. Faux leather, softshell and canvas are also supported exterior choices.
A thin fabric may need batting, foam, stabilizer or lightweight to medium-weight interfacing. The bag needs enough body to remain supported when held by its handle.
Test the reinforcement on a scrap. The class explains how adhesive and non-adhesive products are handled differently.
Make it your own
Carry the bag as a clutch or add a removable chain or sewn strap. Select the strap length for shoulder or crossbody wear.
Replace the magnetic closures with snaps or sew-on snap fasteners. The interior pocket can be duplicated, divided differently or changed to a zippered pocket.
The shallow base can remain straight or be rounded slightly. You can also add a decorative heart, star, tab or tassel to a side loop.
Finished size
The finished bag measures approximately 35 cm wide, 24 cm high and 4 cm deep.
