What you’ll make
Make a structured wallet with layered card slots, open compartments for bills, receipts, photos, and papers, plus a separate zippered coin pocket.
Snap closures hold it shut. This design is the next step up from the simpler Portia coin purse.
The sample coordinates with the Harper Backpack by using the same outer fabric and lining.
What you’ll learn in this class

Fabric and structure
The sample uses slightly heavier rustic cotton outside and printed cotton for the lining. Canvas is another suggested outer-fabric option.
Interfacing supports selected pieces without filling the bulky seam areas. The project also uses a zipper, bias tape, and snaps.
Make it your own
Place the small card pocket in the center or toward one side while allowing for the seam. Use one snap or two, depending on your preferred closure.
Coordinate the outer fabric and lining with another handmade accessory, or use contrasting fabrics to distinguish the wallet’s sections.
